"Your heart will never leave" is the tag line that greeted us at Sydney airport -- put up by Destination Cape Breton. I didn't think much about it the first time I saw the line. However, after a week of driving along the Cabot Trail, hiking in the Highland National Park, visiting the Fortress of Louisbourg and the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site, I found my heart lingering on the island although the body was though sands of miles away on the opposite side of the earth in a concrete jungle. Before long, the family found itself following what Alexander Graham Bell did more than a century ago -- feeling so fond of the place that we acquired a summer residence in Baddeck, Cape Breton.
Our goal is to help you have a good time here in Cape Breton. And perhaps as you spend time exploring the island, you too may encounter something unexpected -- be it renewal in spirit, rejuvenation in body, a new spark in relationship, or gaining new inspiration.
